The first generation of the brand was launched in 2006. We have recently been brought back to review and update the development carried out by the client over the last 4 years. The result is this revised identity and packaging. The ‘Classics’ range shown is Two Eights entry level label with the ’88′ symbol appearing either in an embossed red, bronze or gold, coupled with a chocolate brown Word-mark. We are currently rolling out the upper level tier wines, ranging from $20 to $400 and beyond. These will adorned with more expressive typography, use of high grade uncoated stock and the emblem appearing in bronze. The results will be posted up here as soon.

We recently completed the new packaging for Handpicked Wines. These are a few snaps of the first three ‘Selections’ labels bottled. Handpicked Wines, owned by Two Eights Australia, is a global wine company. The company produces their wines from all the premium growing regions of the world. Generally wines are bottled in the country where they are produced. Because of this, we work with printers from each of these countries to print the Handpicked labels, making sure paper stock, inks and foils are consistent within each range. As the Handpicked cartons are printed in China only, consistency is easier to control, but communicating the desired finish isn’t as easy. The Handpicked ‘Selections’ cartons contain a floral illustration on a black base or background, and this graphic is over-printed on a brown board. This over-print gives the cartons a more organic feel as well as its warmer blacks by allowing the brown board to show through, but can dull the brightly coloured floral illustration. Therefore we have to work quite closely with the printer to achieve the intended result.

King Furniture produces, designs and manufactures a range of classically designed, premium modular furniture for the Australian market. The modular systems can be expanded by adding more pieces as a customer requires over time. Each suite can be arranged in a multitude of ways, by re-orienting platforms, seats, cushions and combining them into different arrangements. Each suite additionally has a series of features from storage compartments to arms with shelves, feet with dual aluminium and timber sides and arms that can lower into head rests. When producing catalogues, technical and patent type drawings, we have to understand every feature and component about the piece in order to illustrate it in an easy to understand format. We have have to also look far ahead of time to see whether our drawings can be reused in the future for other applications, saving time and additional costs our client.
